So my roommate is kind of annoying. First of all he snores, and some nights he wakes me up 3 or 4 times. I tried earplugs but they’re uncomfortable and they don’t help if he’s snoring loudly. So I would start making noise until he wakes up and stops snoring.. I feel like that’s kinda mean. Second, he uses his iphone as an alarm clock and keeps it right next to his pillow, but sometimes it would ring for like a minute before he wakes up, and it’s pretty goddamn loud, and it wakes me up before it wakes him up. I mean it’s right next to his ear! How can he not hear it? This happens even the second or third time it rings, after he snoozes it.
There’s this special tape that’s like a putty that I use to tape my posters to the wall, but it’s not very strong and they fall from time to time. Every time they fall, he tries to make fun of me like, Oh, you still using that tape? I’m like, mind your own f*cking business. Why the f*ck does he care if my posters fall? I’ve already told him several times that the posters would get damaged if I used any other kind of tape, but he still keeps commenting on it.
Before, every time I left the room he would ask me where I’m going, and he would also tell me where he’s going, like I care. He seems unable to have lunch or dinner alone, and I think he calls everyone on his contact list (including me), until someone agrees to have dinner with him. I could go on.. You know how when you start to hate someone you hate every single detail about them? I’m not gonna get into the things that probably wouldn’t bother me otherwise, like the fact that he plays some game on his iphone for hours on end (I would understand if it’s Call of Duty or WoW or something, but what iphone game could possibly be that fun?), but the least he can do is let me sleep in peace at night. So, what should I do? He’s Chinese btw. And he’s not even good at math. FML
@ Anonymous: I was kidding, every heard of a joke? Only two of my sentences have cuss words in it. We’re in the same room because we live in a dorm. I can’t get a fan because it’s winter, every heard of it? I can’t sublet anything because like I said, this is a dorm. So why don’t you try saying something constructive instead of being a smart*ass?

Most room mates are annoying and if you got a new one there are no guarantees. So your choice is to deal with it or live alone.
Well, first, him being Chinese and not good at math is an extremely ignorant thing to say, esp since you can’t type a sentence without putting a swear word in it, which tells me that you don’t know enough English words to form a sentence.
That said, first of all, why the heck are you both in the same room??
Also, if you have a lease, why dont you try and get out of it or sublet it. Another thing would be to get yourself a fan, to block out his snoring. The only thing you really told us, is that you dont like him, but you haven’t given us anything in the way of what you’ve done to try and permanently solve your problem. You’ve just whined about it, but haven’t done anything about it. I can totally understand your frustrations but you should try and legally get out of there asap. GL
Dude I know what you must be going through.there isn`t really much u can do about it but here are some ideas that might work.
FIRST: tell him everything that he does that annoys u and if he does nothing to stop it just watch him closely and find something that u can do that would annoy the crap out of him until he understands how u feel.
SECOND: Tell him straight up that he should do something about the alarm and he doesn`t!! Just wake up in the middle of the night and BLAST some REALLY LOUD ROCK N ROLL or METAL and trust me it wont take long before he cooperates!! GOOD LUCK DUDE
Well first of all, I feel your pain. What I would do is ignore him if he asks something stipid or if he makes a jackass comment. If you can, put him on block list on your phone and just if you see him calling, don’t answer. After 4 rings, just hit end call button. And what you can do about noise is buy a special pair of ear mitts. There more than $10 but if you buy the right pair, then you can zone him out. Or just tell him to buy one of those snore silencers. And just while he is sleeping, turn down the volume on the phone. If that fails then just take out the batteries and wake him up normally around hn his alarm goes off. If any more quetions, just comment.

You should try out better ear plugs. There are special anti snoring ear plugs available on market. They are unbelievably comfortable and can withhold not only snoring but even drilling sounds.
