Most products have been found to be ineffective.

since snoring is often a sign of a serious disorder called sleep apnea that can cause sudden death, heart attacks or stroke as well as kills brain cells due tot he person stopping breathing sometimes up to hundreds of times a night without there knowing it, one needs to do a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea.

If one puts a band-aid on a serious problem that this could be without treating the problem, this could be a big mistake. Consequently, one cannot in good conscious, recommend a product as the person could then think they are ok and be dissuaded from making sure they do not have sleep apnea.

Some others signs of it can be obesity or overweight, short neck, morning headaches, falling sleep in daytime and/or morning headaches. Heredity can also be a clue.

2/3rds of sleep apnea patients are overweight while 1/3 rd are of normal weight. If you have anyone who can do it, have someone observe your sleeping to see if you gasp or quit breathing while waiting for your sleep study.

the general treatment of sleep apnea is a c-pap or bi-pap machine. I like the auto bi-pap machines myself.

It works perfect for a friend of mine who terorize his neighbours !

  2. There are a lot of anti-snoring products that can address this problem. However, the question on whether the product will be effective or not can not have the same answer for everyone. What works for you might not work for the other person and vice versa. There are a lot of factors to consider such as what causes snoring in the first place and how severe the condition is. Generally, if the snoring problem only involves wrong sleeping position, the stop snore pillows usually do the work (though again, its not the same for everyone)…for more severe conditions, mouthpiece and chin strap seem to be effective.
I suggest you read reviews online and see which ones work best for a lot of people and find out which situation you can relate to.

  3. What works for one person may not work for another, because we are all different. So it is important to try out a variety of stop snoring solutions until you find something that best suits you. Personally I have tried a lot, and found the earplugs and white noise sound conditioner works best for me.
